It often takes crisis - internal or external – and the experience of suffering for the process of transformation to begin. As Buddha avowed, “pain is inevitable, but suffering, optional.” One not need be Buddhist to see the wisdom in these words - it’s a universal truth, and reducing our suffering and becoming self-actualized a universal goal.
I see the process of transformation not as a science, but as a collaborative art form. From an authentic perspective, I strive to help reduce suffering and empower others to reach their highest potential. I've been fortunate to have worked in a variety of contexts and settings, and have served people of all ages and from all walks of life throughout my 20+ years as a clinical practitioner. I meet individual personalities, ages, interests, and life experiences with the use of an integrated approach which includes evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness, as well as art therapy and mind-body techniques.
I serve children, adolescents, and adults, and have specializations in:
~Trauma, Grief, and Resiliency
~Depression
~Anxiety
~ADHD
~Parenting Struggles
~Interpersonal/Relationship Counseling
~Adolescent Angst
~Mid-Life Flux
~Separation & Divorce
SUPERVISION TOWARD CLINICAL LICENSURE
